2015 FWEA David W. York Water Reuse Project of Year Award
On April 2015, the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) selected the City of Palm Coastís Concentrate Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Project for the 2015 David W. York Water Reuse Project of Year Award. This award recognizes excellence in the use of reclaimed water and was presented to the City of Palm Coast, SafBon Water Technology, and the design engineer, McKim & Creed. The award was presented at the Florida Water Resources Conference Awards Luncheon in Orlando.
SafBon Water Technology supplied the clarification and hollow-fiber ultrafiltration equipment for that plant. The system treats nanofiltration concentrate to recover all liquids back into to the drinking water plant. The solids resulting from the sludge press are hauled away so there is no liquid concentrate to dispose of.
2015 GWA Wastewater Reuse Project of the Year
During the Global Water Summit on April 27th in Greece, the Global Water Intelligence (GWI) announced winners of the 2015 Global Water Awards (GWA) in a ceremony presented by Mr. Jose Manuel Barroso -former President of the European Commission and Prime Minister of Portugal. The awards acknowledge the most important achievements in the international water industry within 12 categories. SafBon Water Technology, was honored to have received recognition as the membrane system supplier in the category of Wastewater Reuse Project of the Year awarded to the Silicon Valley Advanced Water Treatment Plant project, in California, USA. This project, delivered in 2014, represented the most significant advancement in terms of water reuse.
