- Brine tank transfer pumps (vertical turbine) and discharge line
- SWT senior, field service engineer working on site of Gaza Desalination Plant
- Clean-in-place acid solution tank, neutralization tank and flushing tank
- Dual media filter feed and backwash pumps
SWT is providing supervision of installation on site now that all equipment has been fabricated and delivered for the Desalination Plant System Package for the – Middle Area Desalination Plant Expansion (3,400 m3/d), Gaza Blending Tanks, and Network Improvements Project.
This project is part of the USAID West Bank/Gaza Infrastructure Needs Program (INP) II. The project that received funding in 2014 builds upon the Infrastructure Needs Program I and continues to support the Palestine Authority through development and expansion of water production, distribution, wastewater treatment facilities and road construction.
The Middle Area Desalination Plant Expansion project provides a 3,400 m3/d desalination plant expansion to an existing desalination facility, Deir Al Balah Desalination Plant (currently 2,600 m3/day). SWT will design, manufacture and supply a complete desalination system consisting beach well submersible pumps, intake pipe line, pre-filtration systems, two-stage seawater reverse osmosis system (SWRO/BWRO skids), remineralization by calcite filtration, brine discharge system, transfer pumps, Energy recovery systems, chemical injection skids PLC based control system, interconnecting sub equipment, and the complete electrical package (transformers, switchgear, MCC, VFDs, and ancillary systems..
The systems required for the desalination plant expansion are being engineered and fabricated by SWT in their US based manufacturing facility and are scheduled for shipment to Gaza in 2017 with a final completion in 2018. SWT will be responsible for the supervision of installation, testing, commissioning and training of the plant operators.
